Bluemungus have completed an e-commerce site for top Edinburgh sandwich shops owner Thyme. Check out the full website here at www.lunchthyme.co.uk or pop along to the shops, either at Tollcross (44 Earl Grey St) or at the Old Town (63 Holyrood Rd). They make some seriously tasty food. In fact, I haven't ever had a sandwich lunch anywhere that comes close to the quality on offer at Thyme.
When in the shops you can also check out our tasty graphics we did for Thyme too. Poster, Flyers, loyalty cards, Menu Boards etc...

My new design agency (Bluemungus creative solutions ) that I set up six months ago with Keith Paton is now well and truly up and running. Our office is small but perfectly formed, although I think we'll be looking for new premises in the next 6 months when a new partner joins us.

My first painting in years called Tower#1 is currently on display in Thr Royal Scottish Academy on The Mound in Edinburgh till the 25th June 2008. A bit of a fluke to get my work shown there but my girlfriend persuaded me to submit it and bobs your uncle...there it hangs.
Its the first in a series of multi-media painting on The Towers Of Leith, the rest of which I'll hopefully be showing later on in the year in a gallery in Leith.
If you would like to buy Tower#1 then its too late as its already sold.... nice

Flash Callahan On Sky Sports

Top news... (since I'm a football fan) Sky Sports Super Sunday live football show is currently featuring Flash Callahan's 'Do You Know The Truth'. The track will now feature on the show till the end of the football season...apparently. Haven't watched they sunday football yet as I don't have Sky but I am quite excited to have one of my tracks on a football show. I dare say I'll catch it at my pal Martin's house before the end of season. I'm still holding out for Match Of The Days "Goal Of The Month" theme though.... but I ain't complaining. The more the merrier I say... unless its MacDee's.

Flash Callahan 'Do You Know The Truth' EP Released

Although its been out about 2 months now I've not really announced the release of my debut EP on Jalapeno Records under the name of Flash Callahan. It features 3 tracks recorded and mixed over the last year (2007). The tracks have a decidedly funky feel as they were to a point created from sampling and mashing up bits from old 70's funk records. I have been listening to a lot of old funk stuff for over the last few years but it didn't seem to fit in with what I was doing with the Hooverfish stuff when it came to writing something, hence Flash Callahan was born.

The EP is available from all good download stores including iTunes, Amazon, Juno, Beatport and the Japapeno Records shop. So feel free to get over there and make me that wee bit wealthier. You can also pop over to the Flash Callahan myspace for a wee listen of the tracks on the 'Do You Know The Truth' EP.

Well this is the first time I've attempt to write a blog. The reason for doing it? Well... my pal Colin Usher urged me to sort it out since it supposedly helps hits to your website. Its got nothing to do with me thinking my life is so interesting that people would want to read about... Ah bollocks, you don't know what your missing down here at babatowers, its a total hoot with loads going on. Me well I'm the centre of it all which is only right since I'm so handsome and interesting.. Hey I'm liking this blog thing. Its almost as great as me!

Anyway why not have a wee look at the stories included and maybe follow the links to the various things I and people I know are involved in.
